Variety & Color Are The Keys Getting Kids To Eat Healthy

According to a new study, kids prefer plates of food with include variety and color.
Researchers at Cornell University found that kids appreciated when their food looked like a picture. They were happiest with their food when there were six different colors — and seven different foods.
On the other hand, adults responded more positively to a “casual” plate design, with the main item in the center of the plate, and only three different food items in total.
The lesson is that parents might have better luck getting their kids to eat healthy if they providing lots of options and colors — and arrange the plate in a playful manner.
